Lakshya Sen was born on 16 August 2001 and is an Indian badminton player and a former World Junior No.1.
Born in Almora, Uttarakhand, Lakshya Sen has inherited badminton. His grandfather CL Sen is called the Bhishma Pitamah of badminton in Almora.
Lakshya's father DK Sen has played badminton at the national level and is also a national level coach. DK Sen is currently serving at the Prakash Padukone Academy.
Lakshya Sen's brother Chirag Sen has also represented India in badminton at the international level.
At the tender age of 10, Lakshya Sen joined Bimal Kumar's office at the Karnataka Badminton Association in Bengaluru.
After training at the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy, Sen showed his talent as a badminton player.
He won gold in the boys' singles category at the 2018 Asian Junior Championships and at the Summer Youth Olympics in the mixed team event.
On 2022 Lakshya Sen was awarded with the second-highest sporting honour of India, Arjuna Award for his Outstanding Performance in Badminton.
